Sheffield Doc/Fest used a 6-metre dome as part of its alternate realities program. We showcased some of the most innovative immersive films from around the globe.
Our 6-metre Igloo featured the world premiere of Beethoven's Fifth by Jessica Brillhart, Principal Filmmaker for VR at Google. She said she admired the simplicity of playing her content in the Igloo. Other films shown in the dome were Chasing the Choral: The VR experience by Jeff Orlowski and Planet Infinity by Momoko Seto.
Visitors told us that the immersive dome brought the story and the message of the films closer to them.
