We were commissioned by UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) to use our 12.5-metre igloo as an exhibition stand and conference space – which became a focal point of the European Future Energy Forum (EFEF) 2010 at Excel in London.
The igloo, which was built onto a 12.5 x 12.5m² raised platform, came complete with the full igloo panoramic projection system. We also branded the igloo, inside and out, with the distinctive UKTI identity.
For the event, we produced a five-minute rolling 360° animation that ran throughout the programme of event. This was supported by a 5.1 surround sound audio track to engage the audience and deliver the key UKTI messages.
As well as an eye-catching exhibition space, the igloo was used as a conference venue. Our crew reconfigured the igloo to include a small stage and seating for 90 people. We also adapted the speaker support slides to display on the igloo’s huge panoramic screens.
EFEF 2010 was an important event for us. We showed how an igloo can be used as a versatile, cost-effective and completely renewable exhibition space. What’s more, it was a real talking point with delegates, and an object of envy among other exhibitors.
