The Future of Storytelling (FoST) Summit, which happens each year in New York, is something special - a two-day, invitation-only gathering of 500 leaders from the worlds of business, technology, media, and the arts, which Inc. magazine describes as “innovation personified”, and says “if you're lucky enough to score an invitation, prepare to be captivated by everything this event has to offer”.
For the 2018 summit, FoST wanted to emphasise the importance of shared stories - and we were super-excited to be asked along to demonstrate the power of Shared VR.
Over the two-days, we screened a truly mouth-watering selection of Shared VR experiences, namely The Journey by Charlotte Mikkelborg, Merger by Keiichi Matsuda, The Vatican by Connor Doyle, Human Soundscapes by Gary Gunn, and The Real Thing by Benoit Felici.
In preparation, we worked hand-in-hand with each of the content creators to optimize their experiences for a 9-metre Igloo dome. And, to be sure of the best possible auditory experience, the Igloo also incorporated a spatial surround sound system from our good friend Axel Drioli.
