Custom-build 6-metre cylinder
SXSW in Austin is one of the BIG events in the Igloo calendar. And, in 2018, we were there in two capacities, both of which made us VERY proud.
We built a Shared VR space to host Beethoven’s Fifth, an immersive film directed by the one-and-only Jessica Brillhart, featuring an up-close-and-personal performance by the Philharmonia Orchestra. As part of this, our friends at Mixed Immersion developed an awesomely effective ambisonic sound system. And, for the first time, we showcased a tasty new ultra-short-throw laser projection rig.
Second, we were one of just 18 companies selected by the UK Department of International Trade (DiT) to represent the best and brightest of the British tech scene at SXSW. This means we also had a presence on the unmissable UK@SXSW exhibition space at the Austin Convention Center.
Used for controlling most aspects of the Igloo system, like triggering content, controlling playback and switching between content types.
An application that controls the Igloo wirelessly over a dedicated Wi-Fi network. Easily control different functions from tabs across the top of the app.
Back-end software that seamlessly blends all content from the multiple projectors in the Igloo. Corrects geometry and colour for an immersive experience.
