New ways to access a wealth of 360° content

Back in 2015, Youtube made it possible to upload videos in 360°. And, for many people, this will have been their first experience of the medium…
Igloo Vision was at the Digital Enterprise Show in Madrid from the 21st to the 23rd May - and what a fantastic time the team had (it certainly didn’t hurt that the average temperature was 26°C).
We took along our latest product, the open-front cylinder, which is ideal for exhibitions and conferences. Basically, we’ve stripped away almost a quarter of the wall, leaving a 280° screen for all to see. And, to make up for the light pollution, we’ve stepped-up the display with a rig of five super-bright, 6,000 lumen, ultra-short-flow laser projectors from our friends at Epson.
With the front open to passers-by, it makes it much easier for the curious to step inside and find out what Igloo Shared VR is all about. At times you could barely move inside the cylinder for all the visitors keen to get a look!
We were especially pleased that our presence at DES generated a slew of coverage across the Spanish media, including pieces by Valencia Business and Estrella Digital. And if your Spanish is up to scratch, you can check out our spot on Televisión Española TVE.
