Contact Igloo

Way back in 2014, the University of Brighton became our ever first university client. It was looking for a shared immersive space for its Centre for Sport and Exercise Science and Medicine (SESAME) to enhance its research and courses, and we were of course happy to provide.

We installed a 210° Igloo projection system into its lab, where floor space was at a premium, meaning the screen could be easily stored away and erected when needed.

Over six years later, the space is still there and deeply embedded into the curriculum, whilst being used for a growing range of research.

Since the installation, the University of Brighton has had the chance to reflect on its findings in its Immersive Digital Teaching and Learning blog. The post includes an excellent summary of the pros and cons of using a shared immersive space and covers everything the University has learnt about them over the years. It makes for a fascinating read.

With constant new developments in technology, we’ve also learnt a lot over those six years, so thought it may be useful to add some additional suggestions in our latest white paper. You can read it here.
