When I say ‘Virtual Reality’, you probably picture those large headsets, strapped around someone’s head.
Whilst this has been how VR has been introduced to most people, we are no longer confined to heavy headsets, if you are wanting to experience the virtual world. Undoubtedly, using a VR headset has its own benefits however it also has some downsides, those of which can be resolved by using an immersive space instead. An Igloo immersive space allows you to transform the space around you, meaning multiple people can participate in the experience together simultaneously, without the need of a clunky headset.
From goggles to slots in your phone to higher-end VR headsets, the new ease of accessibility to VR has made these gadgets a popular choice for many people over the last few years. Whether it is to increase interactivity at a work event or to give as a Christmas present, VR can now be used by almost anyone. Favoured for their more compact size and ability to be portable, VR headsets immerse you directly into the virtual world. Although, like many things, there are some downsides to using a VR headset. For example, many users can experience motion sickness or headaches from using these; whether it is caused by the weight of the headset or from the closeness of the screen to your eyes. Furthermore, they also have limited functionality and whilst you can interact with people virtually, everyone must wear separate headsets in order to engage.
This is when the development of shared immersive experiences has become necessary to allow for the growth of VR and its capabilities. A shared immersive space can range in size from a small cube to one of our larger domes. We are able to retrofit an immersive room into any space with our combined use of Lidar scanning and AI to map a room, meaning that we can create a bespoke projection template, curated to fit your needs into your space. They enable many people to enter and interact with the space together, without the need for headsets or goggles at all. This is taking virtual interactivity to the next level as it is enhancing the use of technology in many places from education to entertainment to the workplace. They come with advanced and integrated software, making them compatible with your current platforms, so you can seamlessly integrate this into your life.
Furthermore, they are more cost-beneficial in the long-run, as you can use them for endless training sessions, meetings or educational lessons, for full classes of people. Supporting continuous learning and development, this allows for frequent on-site training with no additional financial implications to do so.
Take the first step into the future today by browsing our range, so you can get your very own immersive space.
